Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Youth4Jesus (Y4J) is a community app and website for young Christians. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, who can see it, and how you can delete it. Using Y4J means you accept this policy.

What we collect

How we use it

We do not sell your data, and there are no ads in Y4J.

Who can see what

Who we share it with

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

How long we keep it, and deleting your account

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time:

Deleting removes your profile, posts, comments, prayers, journal, notes, chats, Hub profile and chats, pastoral care requests, event passes and profile photos, straight away. Announcements you sent stay, without your name. Copies inside backups disappear as backups are replaced in their normal cycle. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security.

Your choices and rights

You can change your profile in the app, choose to post prayers anonymously, block people, report content, and delete your account. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it, by contacting us (see the end of this page). Under Indonesian law (Personal Data Protection Law, UU No. 27 of 2022) you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, and we will answer your request promptly.

Age

Y4J is for people aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, please use Y4J with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. Be careful about the personal information you share, especially in chats and in the Preneur Hub.

Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections, hashed passwords, limits on sign-in attempts and restricted access for our team. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us if you think something is wrong.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. If the change is important, we will also tell you in the app.
